Overview of the New Center

Tennessee Oncology has begun treating patients at its new flagship cancer center located at 322 22nd Avenue North in Nashville, Tennessee. The building sits between Centennial Medical Center and Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown, providing easy access for patients and care teams.

The new center covers approximately 200,000 square feet and includes three levels of underground parking with five floors above ground. This marks a major milestone in Tennessee Oncology’s nearly 50-year history of providing cancer care across the state. The design reflects a focus on efficiency, collaboration, and patient experience.

What It Offers Patients

The flagship center brings together many essential oncology services in one convenient location. Patients will find a full Oncology and Hematology Clinic, specialized centers for blood cancers, and state-of-the-art imaging that includes CT, MRI, and PET/CT.

A medically integrated specialty pharmacy is available on site to provide both oral and injectable medications. Clinical research and a drug development unit will also operate within the facility, allowing patients access to new and innovative treatments through clinical trials.

For those receiving radiation or proton therapy, this model means care is more coordinated and less fragmented. With imaging, pharmacy, and medical oncology all under one roof, patients can focus more on healing and less on logistics.

Why It Is Important for the Region

The opening of this center represents a significant step forward for cancer care in Middle Tennessee. It expands access to world-class oncology treatment and reduces the need for patients to travel long distances for specialized care.

The facility also strengthens the region’s healthcare infrastructure by creating a central hub for advanced treatment, diagnostics, and research. For many patients, it means faster access to the latest therapies and greater continuity of care between specialists.

Beyond technology, the new flagship cancer center demonstrates a deep commitment to compassionate care. The modern design, patient-centered amenities, and collaborative approach all work together to make treatment more comfortable and effective.
